Pre Season Update no 2
Staines played their first warm up game on Saturday 11th August away at Chichester RFC.

Staines started of their new campaign with a much changed team from last season, with several new faces wearing the Red Swans of Staines rugby club.

The game started well against a very strong home side with Staines gaining the advantage and scoring a good try in corner from a well worked move. John Webber touching down after a superb pass under pressure from Kerry Boyd. Having an advantage of youth and pace in the back line, Chichester came back into the game scoring under the post almost immediately.

The game was was played in a good spirit with a very useful run out for all in the West Sussex sunshine.
This week Staines are at home to National 3 South West side Redingensians with a 3.00pm ko.
